About
DRL (formally doomrl or Doom The RogueLike), developed by Kornel Kieselewicz and Derek Yu, is a turn-based action-RPG game in the same veins as the classic rogue based on id Software's pivotal first person shooter Doom.
You play as one of three classes, battling hordes of demons and monsters across 25 procedurally generated levels on Phobos, one of Mars' moons. The game features both a graphical mode and a text mode, character progression and an achievement system.
A commercial sequel, Jupiter Hell, has been released Steam, featuring fully 3D graphics and refined gameplay. A remake of DRL, branded under the Jupiter Hell as Jupiter Hell Classic, is set to launch on Steam in August.
