Super Crate Box
About
Super Crate Box is a fast-paced arcade shoot-em-up where your goal is to survive and rack up the highest score possible while hordes of monsters spawn from the top of the screen and rush toward the bottom. You earn points by collecting crates, each of which gives you a random weapon to help you fend off your enemies. It's a fun little gem that was even ported to the C64 a couple of years ago.
This version has been repackaged to work on modern systems and has been tested on Ubuntu 25.04. For now, the software renderer is forced because the OpenGL renderer crashes on startup.
