About

This is a little maze arcade action game for the Gameboy Advance made by me (graphics), Jimmy Mårdell (code) and Erik Grahn-Järlund (music and sounds) back in 2002. The game is an homage to the somewhat obscure game Crazy Teeth by Dan Haggren, released in 1986.
It was conceived and developed during the LAN-party/hackaton Midwinter 2002 in Umeå for the multicompo where it won first price.

Torben is the official maskot of the university computer club ACC at Umeå University, which was also the theme for the competition - do something creative using Torben as inspiration!

The gameplay is simple, you need to guide Torben through 17 intense mazes filled with tasty food and relentless predators that will stop at nothing. Torben needs to carry the heavy key to the exit, which drains his energy and makes him move slowly. There's a convenient stop sign that can be used to strategically stop enemies in their path, but Torben can also kill the enemies if he's strong enough. Prepare for fast-paced action as the challenge escalates!
